Heavilin Herald August 2012

Beth and J.D. Willett

WE MADE IT!!! We drove to Indiana for Marilyn’s nephew’s wedding and arrived back at Keswick last Tuesday all safe and sound.

Deb and Matt Heavilin

Matthew and Deb drove all night on Friday night from Kansas and arrived at the wedding with about 15 minutes to spare.

Glen, Marilyn, Walt, Karen, Judy (Walt's biological sister)

Marilyn’s brother and his wife (Walt and Karen) drove from Indianapolis on Thursday.  Walt’s sister Judy and her daughter Mary Beth drove from VA and arrived very early Saturday morning.

Sharon and Kathy

Marilyn’s cousins (Sharon and Kathy) drove from Niles, Michigan and met us at the lovely B & B on Friday, so it was definitely a ‘commuter’ wedding.

We want to thank all of you for praying for Karen who is battling Ovarian cancer. Karen was able to complete all of her ‘duties’ as the mother of the groom and she looked beautiful besides.

Family Prayer

The wedding went off without a hitch.  From Marilyn’s point of view, the most touching part was after the couple had said the vows and lit the Unity candle, the parents and grandparents joined the couple on the platform, encircled them, and prayed over them.

We are truly enjoying our time at Keswick this year. If you wish to watch a morning or evening service or listen to an archived message, just go to www.americaskeswick.org and click on Watch Live. We have been blessed this week to hear Roger Willmore and Richard Blackaby.

Victory Hall

We have seen some property improvements this year such as the boardwalk on the periphery of the lake and the re-siding of Victory Hall (a dormitory style building).

This is a beautiful campus and it is always great to see it so well taken care of.

Thanks again for your prayers for our health and safety. Marilyn is grateful for the scooter that Keswick so graciously provides. With only one trip to the hospital ER this summer, we are truly blessed. Oh, by the way, our a/c went out for nearly two weeks right in the middle of a 100 degree heat wave. We are grateful for a shop in Atlantic Highlands where we were able to replace the unit and the people in the shop were very kind to us and took very good care of us. We thank God every day for an a/c unit that works!

Much love in Him,

Glen and Marilyn Heavilin
