Winterized Memorial Cherubs

This letter should be entitled
DON’T FALL, DON’T FALL, DON’T FALL!!! Marilyn obviously did not listen because she fell out of a Jeep! DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!

When she tells people about her mishap, the first thing they say is “What were you doing riding in a Jeep? She was simply getting a ride home from the weekly ladies’ Bible study,  but when she climbed into the Jeep, she apparently missed the seat, fell out of the Jeep, and quickly found herself flat on her back on the asphalt. She felt the impact on the back of her head and immediately put her hand on her head to see if there was any blood. Thankfully there was nothing except a large goose egg on her head. Later on the bruises began to appear but that was all. We are so thankful to the Lord for protecting her. But her advice would still be DON’T FALL.

View of Morro Rock

We have continued to have great, warm weather, but we are very aware that other parts of the country have been experiencing very severe winter weather. Marilyn received a picture from a dear friend at Keswick last week that reminded us of that fact.
Last week we took a drive. We could see the Morro Rock and the ocean as well as the green mountains. What a beautiful drive!

Sailboats on Ocean, horses on beach

We drove home from church last Sunday and saw a view of sailboats in the water and horses on the beach.
We love this area, and are often reminded of God’s beautiful creation.

Elephant seals leaving, too.

We can’t believe that we only have two weeks left in this area. We visited the elephant seals recently, and they are leaving, too! The crowd of seals has definitely thinned out. We hate to leave this area, but we are looking forward to seeing our friends across the country. We will be going from here to Redlands, and then begin our trek back East in a few weeks.

We are so proud to announce that our grandson Christian will be graduating from UC Davis in June. We have purchased tickets to fly from Indianapolis back to California to attend his graduation.

Marilyn feels she can see improvement in her feet. Thank you for praying for her. Please continue to do so; also, please continue to pray for Marilyn’s cousin Al and her sister-in-law Karen who are both receiving chemotherapy treatments.

We love to hear from all of you and appreciate your efforts to keep in touch.

Much love in Him,

Glen and Marilyn
