ATTIC WOLVES

Attic Wolves 1

First is Matt Richardson who is the author and co-author of many of the songs and plays the mandolin beautifully; Logan Wade, the drummer; Nate Heavilin, lead singer, author and co-author of many of the songs and guitarist and OUR GRANDSON; Caleb Martin bassist; and Blake Huntington who plays the banjo, and many other instruments.

Well we had fun with the Attic Wolves this month while Matt and Deb were in California at the Arrowhead Christian Academy reunion for those who graduated in the 80’s. We had the privilege of attending an Attic Wolves concert in Olathe, Kansas only about 20 minutes away from where we live in Overland Park, Kansas. That evening their new CD was first introduced.

Cleveland BoundMatt and Deb got back just in time to join the Attic Wolves for their very quick tour to St. Louis, South Bend, and Cleveland. It is very nice when Matt calls and says, “Can we stop by for a few minutes on our way out of town.” So we snapped this picture.

We had a wonderful visit with Jim and Edna Zimmer from the church we attend. Marilyn was able to fix dinner, and we just had a great conversation around the table. The Zimmer’s have been very friendly and kind to us and they even read “Roses in December” before they came and brought Marilyn a lovely arrangement of three fresh red roses.

Visit with Mick MatthewsWe had a surprise visit from Mick Matthews, a former student of Marilyn’s and a great friend of our Nathan’s. Mick is now a Lutheran pastor and has been for many years. He was just passing through so we all, Matt Deb, Erika and Caleb and Glen and Marilyn, had dinner with him last week. It was so much fun for Marilyn to connect with him again. Marilyn also used to work with Mick’s dad at Cajon High School.

Marilyn’s sister-in-law is doing quite a bit better at the moment. She is receiving high doses of chemotherapy and seems to be responding. Please pray with us that God will have His complete will in her life.

At the moment Marilyn is doing fairly well. She is still on the Parkinson’s medication for another few weeks. Please pray that we will get some definite answers from all of this. Marilyn’s prayer is “Keep me upright Lord.”

Thank you for praying for our health and safety. We appreciate all of you.

Much love,

Glen and Marilyn
