DECEMBER, 2014

The good news is that all of Glen’s nodules on his thyroid are benign! PTL the doctor wants to see him in May when we return from California.

Now the bad news is that Marilyn has influenza type A in spite of having received a flu shot last October. The story is that the flu shots were not as strong as last year and therefore some people have the flu, including Marilyn. Since Marilyn is  highly contagious for the next few days, we have canceled all activities for this weekend. We would appreciate your prayer that Glen does not come down with flu.

Deb and music directorWe did get to attend some festive activities before Marilyn was very limited. We managed to see the King’s Kids for which our daughter-in-law Deb arranged all of the choreography. Once again the program was great and Debbie did an excellent job.

Main stageWe also attended a free concert at the Kaufman center in Kansas City Missouri called “A Tuba Christmas” in which over 200 tubas performed at one time. And we sang real Christmas carols, something we had seldom been able to do in California except at church.

We are looking forward to seeing our friends in California, but we will miss the activities at the Nazarene church in Olathe, Kansas. We have truly enjoyed our Sunday school class and our new pastor. All of the churches we attended in California and in Kansas are in the process of finding a new pastor. Fortunately the one in Olathe has already found a pastor, and we like him a lot.

Marilyn sister-in-law’s CA 125 is going up again, please continue to pray for her.

We are also praying that the snow will hold off until we leave here. It has been very cold here, but no obvious snow.

Always remember, JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

Thanks so much for your prayer support and your interest in us.

Because He came.
